An individual customer can receive any amount. However, any amount above $10,000 or its naira equivalent should be reported to compliance.

An IMTO beneficiary can receive the naira equivalent of up to $200 in cash. Any value above the naira equivalent of $200 must be paid into the beneficiary’s account. Please do not credit a 3rd Party account with IMTO proceeds.

Acceptable means of ID for IMTO payments include:

  1. Nigerian Driver’s license

  2. Nigerian INEC Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC)

  3. Nigerian Identity Management Commission (NIMC) ID card/Slip Validated

  4. Bank Verification Number (BVN)

  5. International Passport

Yes. Customers must provide the purpose of the transfer where applicable.

Yes. An international passport with a valid Visa and evidence of entry into Nigeria (immigration stamp) is acceptable for pickup.

No, a foreign driver’s license is not an acceptable form of identification as it cannot be validated.

Yes. The beneficiary should provide a valid ID and BVN for an instant FREBA savings account.
Upgrade of the account will require additional relevant KYC documents(utility bill).
